Photography by Jim Manganella
specializes in wedding photography delivering "photography with heart" capturing emotions and most importantly the love between the bride & groom, the family and friends.
Providing an ideal blend of traditional, candid and artistic photographs of your special day. Every good wedding photographer has their own style. Jim's is romantic, creative, fun and unobtrusive. He is leaning more towards a photojournalism style which captures the true feeling and emotions of your wedding day without anyone being asked to pose or smile.

The camera used exclusively is a Nikon D3 which is the latest top of the line digital camera from Nikon. It's larger, full frame image sensor and high dynamic range with sensitivity to light are unequalled. It's capable of 11 frames per second. The lenses are all Nikon/Nikkor delivering crystal clarity.

All a photographer truly has for his resume are his photographs... please visit the wedding portfolio and the recent Southfork slideshow.

 ~ Custom Wedding Packages ~

The wedding photography package is designed entirely around what you want and then priced accordingly. Included is an online Proofing/Ordering Gallery for 30 days. This will be a private link delivered by email. You may share the professional photography with your family and friends while at the same time giving them the opportunity to purchase prints or CD's. Typical turnaround time for your edited photography is usually one to two weeks. Only one event is booked per day. A one-third deposit for wedding packages holds the event date and locks in the price.

Options to your photography package are an assortment of black & white photos and layered photographs where the more advanced digital darkroom techniques occur. Examples of layered photography are a combination of color and black/white, multiple images combined on the same photo, blur techniques, etc. Prior to the wedding you will be provided with an optional checklist for specific photos that you want.

For the finest in creative wedding photography accept all the options with your photography package and allow Jim to do all he is capable of.

To our photographer Jim... Thank you for doing such a fantastic job on this most important day!  I don't envy the stress of your position trying to capture every moment that is going by at the speed of light, but you NAILED it!!  Scott and I think you did a wonderful job!  Our appreciation for your professionalism, and friendship can not be emphasized enough in this communication.  Thanks for all that you did for our wedding!

Photo Gallery

All photos are edited / retouched in Adobe Photoshop CS3 giving you the highest quality images possible. Many are cropped to provide the best composition and to call attention to the key details.
Before & After

Basic Photography (schedule allowing): Jim will shoot the photos and hand you the CD/DVD of all the high-res images. This comes with photo rights. These will all be unedited color photos. Although not recommended since editing and cropping are what brings the most from your photography, it does serve a purpose for those on a limited budget.

Faqs...

How Many Photos? We average shooting 60-80 photos per hour on location. Out of these most will make the cut to be edited and placed into your online proofing gallery which will usually contain 200-350 photos. Contact us to see a complete proofing gallery.

Photojournalism in its purest form captures real events as they unfold without being affected by the presence of the photographer. Wedding photojournalism is defined by the photographer being unobtrusive, not interrupting or directing your day, always looking for emotions and important moments.  Your photographs will be as real as the love you feel for your family and friends, and each other.

Choosing a Photographer: Look at their work. Look past the dialogue & flash websites to their photography...
