Photographer's Note / The style of photography can range from classic retro boudoir to modern contemporary depending on two factors, the outfit and primarily the location. A modern setting will take it to a more contemporary look. The better the location, the more props we have to work with will yield a much higher number of a variety of images. Excellent locations are available for shooting either, it's location of your choice including the comfort of your home.

Clients have ranged in age from 19 to 54 years old - who said "this is something I've been wanting to do and I want to do this while I still have it." Choosing a photographer: who knows what's more appealing to a man than a male photographer. The atmosphere is friendly and professional, boudoir photography sessions are a lot of fun to do. We will only shoot what you are comfortable with in front of the lens. Suggestions may be made to help you to achieve the look you want. Most of the time though I just stay out of it and follow your lead. It's your photo shoot, I'm just the photographer.

Historically, the boudoir formed part of the private suite of rooms of a lady, for bathing and dressing, adjacent to her bedchamber. Boudoir photography is not generally a new concept, dating back to the late 1800's. It has seen a resurgence of popularity in recent years, perhaps more in demand than ever.

The term "boudoir" is a genre of photography. Typically shot on location, luxury hotel suites or a photographer's studio. It has become fashionable to create a set of sensual or sexually suggestive images in "boudoir style". The more common style of modern boudoir photography is to take variations of candid and posed photographs partly clothed or in lingerie... Nudity is more often implied than explicit.

Commercially the genre is often, though not exclusively, derived from a market for brides to surprise their future husbands by gifting the images on or before their wedding day. Other motivations or inspiration for boudoir photography photos include anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day, weight loss regimes, other form of body change or alteration and as a gift for servicemen overseas.
